Welcome to the South Shore Group

Welcome to the South Shore Group, a group of railway modellers focusing on the colourful and diverse railway prototypes of North America (and occassionally distracted by German, Swiss, Australian, Dutch, Austrian and Soviet railways) who meet regularly in Worthing on England's South Coast. South Shore is a sub-division of the British Region of the (US-based) National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) and was formerly known as the West Sussex American Group.

[Sompting Village Hall] The usual club night is Wednesday, starting at 7pm until about 11pm, and the usual venue is Sompting Village Hall, Sompting Near Worthing except on the second Wednesday of each month - but please check the calendar here to be certain. Visitors are welcome to drop by and say hello. There is usually ample on-site parking in the hall grounds.

Our next show will be on the 7th and 8th of July 2012 and we're holding it at the Sompting Village Hall. It will include the debuts of several brand new layouts. Click Here for more details.
We have a number of exciting projects coming on nicely - some of which we hope will make their debut at our show in July. These should include Nick and Lee's new N-scale layout Le Fordham Yard, Andrew's On30 layout Stout Oak, IA and Bevis' Dutch HO Harlingen Wharf. The club is also working on a new club On30 layout called Perfection, GA but that is planned to be ready for our show in 2013!
